A Smarter Way to Create Team Photos – The Future of School & Sports Photography

For decades, the traditional team photo has followed the same routine — get everyone together at the same time, line them up, make sure nobody blinks, and hope every player is present on the day.

But as anyone involved with school or sports teams knows, that’s often easier said than done!

At Photoshots, I’m introducing a fresh, more flexible approach to team photography using individual player composites. Rather than requiring the entire team ready as one, each player is photographed individually. I then professionally combine those images into a polished, high-quality team photograph.

Every player is photographed with consistent lighting, posing, and expression, creating a clean, professional result. The final image can be designed with dramatic backgrounds, team colours, logos, and graphics that give it a premium, modern look — something that simply isn’t possible with a quick group photo on a field or against a background.

Most importantly, the finished photograph becomes something more than just a record of the season — it becomes a piece of artwork that players, parents, and supporters will proudly display for years to come.

Photography continues to evolve, and team photographs should too. At Photoshots, I’m excited to offer this innovative approach and create striking team images that look every bit as impressive as the athletes who represent them.
